Title : Datacenter Facilities Technician

SUMMARY :
Our direct client is looking for a hands-on, self-directed engineering technician to operate and maintain the facility systems serving supercomputing datacenter builds.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Operational expert for mechanical system at the Dojo facilities. The mechanical systems and equipment can include pumps, piping, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, etc.
Available for occasional on-site emergency calls nights and weekends
Perform daily inspections of critical systems.
Develop preventative maintenance plans. Drive the execution of both preventative and emergency maintenance for facility equipment.
Collaborate with building facilities team to ensure reliability of building facilities systems impacting Dojo spaces.
Identify and maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns.
Develop and implement energy monitoring metrics.
Support commissioning efforts by witnessing equipment startup, assisting with functional testing, and monitoring construction progress.
QUALIFICATIONS :
5 years of hands-on operations or facilities work experience. Data center experience is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills
Experience with PLC-based control systems and / or with Building Management Systems (Client)
Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to utilize hand tools and power tools as needed
