Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees and monitors receipt, storage, order selecting and distribution of all product.
• Assess daily volume and assign labor accordingly
• Review order accuracy and quality daily to ensure excellent customer service.
• Maintains warehouse sanitation, health and safety standards following the guidelines of Feeding America, New York State and USDA.
• Assumes responsibly for food sanitation and safety audits through Feeding America, AIB, New York State, USDA and other regulating bodies.
• Ensures complete and accurate records are maintained on all products received and distributed.
• Consistently strives to increase the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of product handling.
• Works with other departments to maximize the distribution of food and minimize waste.
• Maintain all Food Bank material handling equipment.
• Maintains adequate stock of all warehouse supplies.
• Hires and trains new staff as needed.
• Sets expectations for staff, monitor work performance, conduct supervisory meetings, and prepare performance appraisals.
• Promotes staff development through training and new work opportunities.
• Assists with solicitation of food and transportation donors.
• Maintains positive donor relations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Warehouse supervisor: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

• Latham, NY 12110: Relocate before starting work (Required)
