Executive Assistant

Since 1961, The Association for Individual Development (AID) has served individuals with developmental, intellectual, physical and/or mental health challenges, those who have suffered a trauma, and those at risk. As a non-profit organization, our mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, and mental health challenges to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for an Executive Assistant who exemplifies that mission, and who wants to work for an organization that makes a difference. Are you the right fit?

What will you be doing?

  • Provides administrative support to the President/CEO and Executive Leadership team
  • Point of contact for President/CEO
  • Coordinate various projects and work groups as directed by the President/CEO.
  • Ensure that any deadlines established by President/CEO (e.g., to have a document notarized by a specific date) are met.
  • Conference room setup includes audio/visual needs, coordinating dietary requests, minute taking and preparation, and preparing information/packets to be distributed prior to the meeting
  • Read and analyze incoming memos, documents, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
  • Organize/maintain the calendar and make all travel arrangements for the President/CEO.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned. Adheres to AID's Values, Service Excellence, or Standards of Excellence.

Education and Experience


  • Five or more years of professional/administrative experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration or a related field required
  • Solid Microsoft, database management experience 
  • BoardEffect application knowledge preferred 
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization desired
  • Outstanding attention to detail and dedication to meeting timelines
