Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to join our team and lead our kitchen staff in delivering high-quality dining experiences. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all culinary activities, ensuring excellent food quality, and managing kitchen operations efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create innovative menus and develop new recipes
- Supervise kitchen staff, including sous chefs and line cooks
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgeted food cost percentages
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus and specials
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food production, and kitchen management
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively
- Proficient in menu development, cost control, and inventory management
- Understanding of shift management and scheduling practices
- Degree in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
- Bartending experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding high standards of quality and consistency
