The Bizzell Group is Hiring an Office Administrative Instructor Near Guthrie, OK

Job Overview:

Primary Position Objectives

Provide instructional support for a U.S. Department of Labor Job Corps contractor, Human Learning Systems. The Job Corps program is a federally funded residential training program. The Instructor is responsible for providing students with industry-recognized instruction and training leading to full-time jobs, higher education, or advanced training.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates and abides by Bizzell Core Values and operating principles.
  • Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure
  • maximum student motivation.
  • Responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom environment, and
  • promoting student learning.
  • Implement instructor’s lesson plans as outlined, assign student class work, and
  • maintain classroom control and discipline.
  • Leave a report for the instructor and include what assignments were completed and
  • the behavior of students.
  • Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or
  • study habits.
  • Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting
  • student training.
  • Participate in providing hands-on activities for students as part of the career
  • preparation program; provide feedback to the career preparation staff.
  • Participate in activities associated with the intellectual and social development of
  • students.
  • In coordination with work-based learning (WBL) staff; develop work-based training
  • sites on-center, in the community, and at home-based sites; monitor and document
  • student progress at work-based training sites monthly.
  • Work with the community industry advisory council to review and recommend
  • upgrades to the CTT program.
  • Monitor labor market information; develop career transition and job placement plans,
  • and assist with placement of graduates, in conjunction with the career transition
  • readiness specialist.
  • Work cooperatively with each student’s counselor and career transition readiness
  • specialist.
  • Provide strong customer service for both dependent and independent learners
  • leading to trade completion.
  • Prepare statistical reports and corrective action reports as necessary to achieve
  • positive results.
  • Provide positive, quality customer services to students, staff, and other center
  • customers.
  • Prepare students to transition from career technical training to the transition period
  • by developing interviewing and employability skills.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Provide students with career technical training instruction, direction, and assistance
  • in designated areas of instruction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Computer Literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.
  • High level of communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
  • High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and train students effectively.

Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree and one year of office administration experience. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal educational requirements.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, is accredited by a professional
  • trade organization (or is able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire), or two years of work-related
  • experience in the designated career training area.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
