Backlund Investment Co, the holding company for State Street Bank (Quincy, IL) and Better Banks (Peoria, IL), is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist. Ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR processes and procedures, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Duties:

• Conducts full recruiting processes for the banks and holding company; sources and screens applicants, conducts assessments, interviews, participates in selection process
• Administers new hire onboarding processes and conducts orientations
• Coordinates, administers, and assists in managing employee benefits, including enrollment & changes
• Processes employee payroll, semi-monthly, for approximately 185 employees
• Provides support to employees on HR, payroll, and time & attendance inquiries
• Establishes and maintains employee records in HRMS
• Utilizes HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity) to input & retrieve employee information, and to provide HR data and insights to management
• Provides administrative support to the HR team
• Stays abreast of HR trends and legislation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• 1 years of experience in an HR role is required
• 1 years payroll processing experience is strongly desirable

Competencies:

• Knowledge of HR processes and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work under high pressure situations while remaining composed
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,600.00 - $55,000.00 per year
