Southern Hearth and Grills is Hiring an Office Assistant Near Huntsville, AL

Southern Hearth and Grills, an established, local, family-owned business is hiring for a full-time Office Assistant in the Huntsville, AL area.

In addition to competitive pay and our supportive and growth-oriented culture:

  • Qualify for bi-annual bonuses
  • After 1 year of employment, employees earn 1 week of paid time off (increases to 2 weeks after 2 years)

As an office assistant, you will:

  • Greet customers on the phone and direct their phone call to the correct person
  • Maintain current filing system for customer accounts
  • Update customer accounts to current status, including notifying customers when product is in
  • Update pricing in Point of Sale software (Quickbooks POS)
  • Mail monthly statements to customers
  • Schedule appointments for installation
  • Use Microsoft Office to create POP displays

Requirements:

  • Good Physical Health with ability to lift over 30lbs
  • A good attitude with the motivation to learn!
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) is fantastic, but not required.

Experience with office work is great, but any requisite technical/product knowledge would be learned on-the-job. This job could be perfect for a recent graduate looking to get into the work force, or for experienced office worker.
