Technical Sales Specialist/Sales Support Engineer - Onsite

Location: Salt Lake City

Reports to: VP of Sales

Premier Plastics is currently seeking a Technical Sales Specialist/Sales Support Engineer for a full-time position. Premier Plastic is a fast-growing company that specializes in designing and producing custom packaging solution for a wide variety of industries. We are looking for an individual to join our fast-paced environment that works with the team to create new innovated solutions while striving to deliver a high quality product.

Responsibilities:

• Work with new and existing customers on new packaging designs to develop solutions that meet their requirements while also exceeding their expectations
• Generate quotes on new projects and provide those quotes to customers
• Work closely with multiple groups within Premier Plastics – including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance – to accurately determine costing of new projects
• Provide project management for customer projects, ensuring that projects move forward in a timely manner and holding self and others accountable for completion of tasks
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers with the goal of being the trusted expert the customer calls first when a new project arises
• Occasional travel to industry events and trade shows to answer questions about Premier Plastics’ capabilities for prospective customers
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 3 years experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or quoting
• Thorough understanding of the principles of cost in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ERP and quoting systems
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to generate loyalty with customers
• Ability to work with other groups and functional areas within the business
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Prioritization skills
• Contagious positivity and “team first” mentality
• Travel up to 10%
