This role involves executing activities for new product projects in collaboration with the APQP Engineering/Innovation Manager. The individual will closely interact with the manager, New Products team members, and other departments. They will frequently utilize electrical and mechanical engineering tools, along with computer modeling skills. Additionally, the role includes developing longer-term concepts for future product platforms by integrating electrical and mechanical solutions into electromechanical concepts, aligning with anticipated company needs.
Duties And ScopeIncluding but not limited to:

• Execute new product projects and tasks under the guidance of the APQP Engineering/Innovation Manager.
• Collaborate closely with team members and other departments.
• Utilize electrical and mechanical engineering tools for analysis and modeling.
• Develop electromechanical concepts for future product platforms.
• Support program and project management for timely and cost-efficient deliverables.
• Conduct mechanical engineering analysis to enhance product functionality and reduce costs.
• Brainstorm and contribute to innovative product designs using new materials and technologies.
• Research feasibility and conduct cost evaluations for new product concepts.
• Coordinate with various departments for optimal production solutions.
• Support program and project specifications, schedules, and cost plans.
• Interact with sales and customers to understand project requirements.
• Assist in training personnel on new product features and installation guidelines.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all job functions.

Qualifications And Core Competencies

• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical engineering techniques.
• Familiarity with CAD software and design tools.
• Ability to lead and support project teams effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits, trade shows, and customer meetings.
• Computer proficiency and attention to detail are essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of company products and engineering tools.
• Proficiency in Creo/Windchill software for modeling and analysis.
• Knowledge of tolerance analysis, mechanics of materials, and kinematic analysis.
• Understanding of APQP processes and drafting standards.
• Ability to participate in cross-functional teams and support product improvements.

Working Conditions

• Office environment with occasional exposure to outside work and chemical irritants.
• Safety measures such as wearing safety glasses are required in production areas.
