Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales in a retail environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise and train staff members to deliver exceptional customer service
- Manage inventory, stock shelves, and ensure merchandise displays are appealing
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain a balanced cash drawer
- Support sales efforts by engaging with customers, promoting products, and maximizing sales opportunities
- Assist in implementing strategies to meet sales targets and profitability goals
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with the Manager to develop and execute plans for store growth

Skills:

- Proficient in cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of stock management and inventory control
- Experience in sales management and retail operations
- Strong mathematical skills for handling transactions and basic accounting tasks
- Previous experience as a clerk or in a similar role is beneficial
- Ability to drive sales through effective merchandising and customer engagement
- Familiarity with retail management software is a plus
- Strong leadership qualities to motivate and guide team members
- Exceptional customer service skills to ensure a positive shopping experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
