About Us: Night Owl Support Systems, LLC (NOSS) is a service provider for people of all abilities. Unlike traditional service providers, NOSS specializes in using technology in people’s homes, which is connected to a call center that monitors people’s safety and well-being. NOSS primarily provides supports overnight but the service is available for use 24/7. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team and contribute to our commitment to creating a positive and inclusive workplace.

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist who will lead and manage all aspects of the human resources function. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture and implementing effective HR strategies to support the company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Employee Relations:

  • Foster positive employee relations by addressing concerns, conflicts, and grievances promptly and effectively.
  • Promote a culture of open communication and collaboration.

2. Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of qualified candidates.
  • Oversee onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

3. Schedule Management

  • Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage while considering employee preferences and workload.
  • Coordinate with administrative staff to understand staffing needs and optimize scheduling efficiency.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Review payroll hours entered by employees to confirm accuracy based on scheduled hours.

4. Policy Administration:

  • Update and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure policies are communicated and understood by all employees.

5. Performance Management:

  • Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters.

6. Training and Compliance:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate employee training and development programs.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
  • Ensure that all employees are compliant with all training requirements.
  • Oversee employee training compliance in accordance with state requirements.

7. Benefits Administration

  • Facilitate the benefits enrollment process for new hires and existing employees, ensuring accurate and timely completion of forms and documentation.
  • Effectively communicate benefit plans to employees, providing clear explanations and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Coordinate and execute the annual open enrollment process, providing employees with information on benefit options and assisting with selections.

8. Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Schedule:

  • 8:30a-4:30p (At times the employee will need to adjust hours to meet with staff as we are a 24/7 operation)
