POSITION TITLE: Accounts Payable Clerk

JOB LOCATION: Tallahassee

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of billing/accounting experience required. Prior legal accounts payable experience preferred. Proficient computer skills/ability to use multiple programs required.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Ability to exercise independent judgment, work independently and follow supervisory directions. Ability to maintain and compile fiscal records and review data for accuracy and completeness with focused attention to detail. Ability to post, balance and reconcile fiscal records. Ability to compose, type, word process and assemble information in proper fiscal form. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Knowledge of basic arithmetic. Knowledge of general office practices and systems for record retention and retrieval. Knowledge of various business machines and data entry equipment and programs. Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication. Office etiquette regarding public and telephone communications.

Responsible for prompt and accurate payments of certain expenses to internal and external vendors and individuals. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to problem solve and make decisions. Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
