Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe in Canonsburg is looking for a PM Banquet Houseperson. This position will typically work during the hours of 7PM to 2AM. The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the efficient and timely set up and tear down of banquet and event spaces. This role ensures that all equipment, furniture, and materials are arranged according to the event specifications and maintains cleanliness and organization in the banquet areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up banquet rooms according to event orders, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations as per the event layout.
  • Assist with the installation and dismantling of audiovisual equipment, such as projectors, screens, and sound systems, as needed.
  • Transport and set up catering equipment, including food stations, buffets, and beverage stations, following safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor and replenish supplies during events, such as water pitchers, utensils, and condiments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet areas, including vacuuming, mopping, and clearing tables during and after events.
  • Tear down and removal of event setups, including clearing tables, packing equipment, and returning furniture to storage areas.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with event planners, catering staff, and other team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on event timelines.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in event setups and adherence to specifications.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture.
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards in hospitality settings
