G&S Business Communications is Hiring a Senior Learning & Development Specialist Near Raleigh, NC

The Senior Learning & Development Specialist will work closely with the Chief People Officer (CPO) to build and implement a robust training offering that accommodates diverse learning styles, leading to enhanced employee performance and organizational productivity. The Senior Learning & Development Specialist will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify key learning needs and re-skill opportunities, develop
targeted programs and measure the impact of learning initiatives on agency goals

Responsibilities:

Onboarding:

  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new employees are integrated smoothly and consistently across the agency and client teams
  • Maintain and enhance the G&S Mentor Program (Guiding Success) providing mentors with the tools and resources needed to foster strong mentor relationships

Program Design and Development:

  • In collaboration with CPO, design, develop, and implement comprehensive learning programs aligned with organizational goals and employee development needs; to include leveraging AI where appropriate to create individual learning paths
  • Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences such as eLearning modules, in- person workshops and job aids.
  • Partner with external vendors, consultants and industry experts as needed to enhance content and
    delivery methods.
  • Oversee i-LEAD initiatives for agency

Skills Gap Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify learning gaps and opportunities for skill development.
  • Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to understand business objectives and performance expectations.
  • Analyze performance data and employee feedback to enhance learning quality.

Training Delivery:

  • Facilitate engaging and impactful training sessions for employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Adapt training content and delivery methods to meet the diverse learning needs and preferences of
    participants.

Evaluation and Measurement:

  • Develop and implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning
    initiatives.
  • Collect and analyze data on learning outcomes, participant satisfaction and behavior change.
  • Use evaluation results to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve learning program.

Learning Technology and Tools:

  • Stay current on learning technology trends including ways to leverage AI
  • Leverage current platforms Bamboo and KnowB4 to support learning admin, tracking and reporting, and identify and recommend additional platforms and tools as necessary.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to employees on learning platforms.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in learning and development, talent management, or related field, preferably in a creative or communications agency environment.
  • Strong instructional design skills with experience developing a variety of learning content and
    modalities.
  • Proven experience in training facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Creative thinking and innovation mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
