Description
A well-respected Regional Property Management firm in business for over 37 years with an expanding portfolio is looking for a resourceful, community-minded team member for an affordable housing community in Arlington, VA. We are seeking a Leasing Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities
The Leasing Manager / Agent is responsible for greeting applicants in a friendly, helpful
manner, to place them at ease so they can form a positive impression of Buckingham
Gardens and its staff. After greeting an applicant, leasing employees shall qualify for the
applicant with regards to unit size, income, when the unit is needed, and any special
requirements of the applicant (e.g., pets).
The Leasing Manager / Agent should demonstrate unit features, describe property
amenities, and point out the convenience and accessibility of the property. All the above
should be presented professionally to instill confidence in the applicant. The
leasing agent's presentation should be natural and reflect genuine concern regarding
the questions and interests of the applicant.
Leasing Managers / Agents are responsible for annual Recertification, lease renewal
processing, move-in/move-out reports, subsidy resident histories, and rent rolls. In
addition, leasing managers/ agents may be required to prepare and complete leasing,
move-in inspections, maintenance reports, and other functions are needed at the discretion
of the Community Manager
Qualifications
Qualifications
Fluent in Spanish and English
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
3-4 years of Tax Credit Leasing experience.
Tax Credit Certified (preferable but not a must)
Clerical, secretarial, or office experience
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with routinely shifting demands.
High degree of attention to detail
Working knowledge of general office equipment
Team player with a positive attitude
