Resident Services Coordinator
JOB TITLE: Resident Services Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Resident Services Manager
GENERAL FUNCTION: The primary role of the Resident Services Coordinator is to effectively enable resident families to enhance the quality of their daily lives and to help them successfully participate in the educational and economic mainstream. The full-time Resident Services Coordinator position provides residents with information about supportive community services and access to other resources that can assist them with achieving life opportunity objectives. The Resident Services Coordinator's position is an integral part of the Turner Station portfolio social services network and the Property Management Team, which play a vital role in the overall positive experience of residents.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist the Resident Services Manager in the development, organization, implementation and facilitation of social services programs at the Social Service Center.
  2. Providing resource and referral coordination services to residents.
  3. Assist the Resident Services Manager with preparing monthly reports on program services, status and accomplishments.
  4. Maintain and organize client records documenting services provided for the Turner Station Portfolio.
Community Center.
  1. Assist the Resident Services Manager in the design of developmental activities/events for residents as needed.
  2. Assist the Resident Services Manager with identifying organizations and providing services or programs that enhance the effectiveness and quality of the Community Services Program.
  3. Welcoming new residents and establishing contact with existing residents and explaining to them the community services program and the services it offers.
  4. Assist the Resident Services Manager with developing and revising general program materials.
  5. Develop and maintain a professional relationship with residents that help them enhance the quality of their lives, empower them and encourage them in taking the steps to achieve self-sufficiency.
  6. Must demonstrate a continuous effort to assist the Resident Services Manager with improving services, working cooperatively and jointly to provide seamless services to residents.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Computer and technology proficiency.
  • Modern office practices and ability to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a broad spectrum of people.
  • Experience with community organizing and the social service system.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the daily realities facing low to middle-income families.
  • Experience in successfully working with diverse populations.
  • The ability to identify, assess, select, develop and maintain community service referral partnerships.
  • Ability to be an innovative thinker and problem-solver.
Requirements: Social Work BS and/or 4 years of experience
