Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00/hr
Term: 6/15/2024 - 5/31/2025
HOURS/LOCATION
Hours: 25 - 29 hrs/wk
Location: Hybrid (1-2 days/wk onsite)

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Contract Recruiter is a multifaceted, people-first position on our People & Culture (P&C) shared services team chiefly responsible for sourcing, vetting, interviewing, and hiring top candidates for the organization. This position will serve as the primary talent acquisition consultant for our SEO Scholars programs in NYC, San Francisco, North Carolina, and Miami. They will be tasked with identifying and converting talent from the financial services, corporate, and legal sectors to provide career development and advising for ambitious pre- and early-career professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition
Manage full-cycle recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation for candidates.
Collaborate closely with hiring managers and P&C Business Partners to understand staffing requirements and effectively fill open positions.
Utilize various recruitment channels and tools including direct sourcing via LinkedIn Recruiter and other social platforms to build talent pipelines.
Cultivate strong business relationships with hiring managers and escalate issues and inquiries efficiently.
Leverage and configure Greenhouse ATS to support hiring workflows.
Execute the seamless new hire handoff from offer to start-date.
Ensure accurate and compliant recordkeeping and effectively close out requisitions at the end of each search.
Reporting
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, tools, and workflows, make adjustments as needed to optimize outcomes.
Provide regular updates to hiring mangers and SEO leadership on recruitment activities, including weekly and ad hoc reports and status updates.
Ensure a high level of hiring data fidelity in Greenhouse.
QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of full-cycle in-house recruitment. Agency recruitment will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Must have at least 2 years recruiting senior-level talent.
Direct experience in sourcing or recruiting education professionals. A background in teaching or nonprofit programming (e.g., high school or college instruction, school operations, education administration, or teacher recruitment) is a definite plus.
Proven track record of effectively managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, outreach, interview coordination, scheduling, candidate assessment, and offer negotiations.
Strong negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and coach hiring managers.
Technical proficiency in Greenhouse ATS (or a similar cloud-based system) is required, including configuring requisitions, posting jobs, managing hiring workflows, and closing out open requisitions.
A commitment to intentional intersectional diversity recruitment, with a deep understanding of and dedication to promoting equity and inclusion in hiring processes.
Working knowledge of federal employment laws, compliance, and best practices. Experience hiring in NYC and CA strongly preferred.
Proficiency in standard workplace applications (e.g., MS365, Zoom, Box). Experience with Monday.com (or similar platforms) and advanced Excel is a plus.
High attention to detail and accountability for quality assurance; must be skilled in accurately managing candidate and job information within a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and interpersonal communications skills. Must be comfortable effectively communicating through different mediums including over VC, by phone, chat, or email.

Interviewing Methods & Skills Assessment: Proficiency in conducting interviews, utilizing different methods to assess candidates' skills, and suitability for the role.
Candidate Experience & Relationship Management: Ensuring a positive experience for candidates throughout the recruitment process with supportive and responsive communication.
Active listening: The ability to actively listen to candidates, colleagues, and stakeholders, understand their needs, concerns, and feedback to inform decision-making and improve processes.
Negotiation: Skill in negotiating terms of employment, job offers, and other aspects of the hiring process with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
Empathy and Equity: A commitment and ability to attract, engage, and hire candidates from a broad spectrum of backgrounds and experiences, promote equity and inclusion within the organization, and implement strategies to mitigate bias and ensure equal opportunities for all.
