SEO Tech Developer SEO Tech Developer was founded as a virtual intensive, free immersion program to propel first-year and sophomore computer science and software engineering college students to the next level – including a PAID six-week summer residency. All are welcome to apply. POSITION OVERVIEW We are looking for a Software Engineering Teaching Assistant to support the teaching of the newly launched SEO Tech Developer program. This role will work with the lead instructor to implement the curriculum provided on our interactive learning platform, ensuring students are prepared to launch successful careers in the tech industry. They will also collaborate with other program stakeholders to continuously assess and address program effectiveness. We are looking for an individual who will bring enthusiasm for learning and the ability to motivate underrepresented individuals to grow their software engineering skills. QUALIFICATIONS A track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with and among a diverse group of distributed stakeholders Proficiency in the languages in our tech stack below Excellent communication and leadership skills Experience as a software developer or similar industry role Experience working on a technical instruction team TECH STACK Required: Strong Python skills Comfort working with various APIs and libraries Preferred: Basic command line/bash Basic version control (Git/Github) Basic familiarity of web technologies (HTML/CSS) Basic familiarity with data manipulation/analysis Basic understanding of the social impacts of technology COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This position is benefits ineligible in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
