Full-Time, Part-Time and Per-Diem Shifts Available

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or Registered Nurse, the candidate assists in performing a variety of duties related to the physical care of the patients. Obtains report of patients’ assignment from the RN at the start of the shift. Provides meticulous care to each child that is appropriate and age sensitive. Maintains unit and patients’ rooms compliant with regulatory agency codes and standards. Obtains, records, and reports vital signs to RN. Changes patients to and from various adaptive equipment as recommended/directed by the therapists or RN. Assists with or performs treatment procedures that have been predetermined for each patient. Feeds or assists with feeding patients during meals/snacks. Assists patients with diapering/toileting/showers as necessary. Repositions assigned patients to promote skin integrity, muscle tone, and maintain body alignment. Maintains excellent hand hygiene, adheres to precautions as required for each patient. Participates in unit performance improvement activities and takes responsibility for own assignments. Maintains the patients’ bedside clean, in good order, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Maintains professional boundaries. Assist the nurse during emergency situations.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; CNA Certification preferred. Needs to be able to perform the following physical activities for the majority of time at work: standing, walking and sitting. Must be able to move/lift equipment and patients (35-40 lbs.). Must exhibit fine motor coordination in the manipulation of biomedical equipment (e.g., thermometers, scissors, etc.).

Salaries: CNA’s $19.29 hr – 20.83 hr | Annual = $41,600 – $44,600
