Patient Accounts Representative/Biller

Blythedale Children’s Hospital is currently looking to hire a full-time, EXPERIENCED Patient Accounts Representative/Biller. This position works closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Patient Accounts, as well as the Patient Accounts team, the Medical Records and Social Work departments.

The Patient Accounts Rep will perform full Revenue Cycle duties, including preparation and submission of claims through reconciliation of AR accounts, pursuit of claims denials, and resolution of credit balances. Biller will also be responsible for reviewing aging Trial Balances and working to reduce AR balances.

Knowledge of Medicaid FFS, Managed Care organizations and Commercial Payer claims processing is REQUIRED; experience with completion of Medicaid applications is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently is necessary. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a variety of individuals with different knowledge levels is critical to this role. Ability to meet deadlines and manage time is critical.

Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of full-cycle hospital facility billing experience; college experience, with a Bachelor or Associates degree preferred. High School diploma will be considered with relevant billing experience. Blythedale will train but experience with Medicaid and commercial insurance providers, as well as full-cycle Patient Account Rep responsibilities is required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required. Candidates without minimum qualifications will not be considered.

Blythedale offers a competitive salary of $51,500-$61,500 annually, excellent benefit plans and free parking. EOE.
