Inventory Management and/or Oversight:

  • Establish and execute meticulous inventory control protocols (either based from your previous and professional experience and/or by working with an external consultant) to implement and maintain precise stock levels.
  • Regularly audit and track inventory movements, ensuring alignment with production demands.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to anticipate material requirements and prevent shortages.

Strategic Procurement:

  • Scout, evaluate, and forge strong relationships with suppliers to secure top-quality materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms while upholding quality standards.
  • Strategically plan and execute purchases based on production forecasts and inventory analysis.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Monitor purchase orders and coordinate timely deliveries, resolving any logistical hurdles.
  • Optimize procurement processes to minimize costs while enhancing quality and reliability.
  • Foster strong communication channels with suppliers to address concerns and optimize collaboration.

Analytical Insights:

  • Generate insightful reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and purchasing trends.
  • Utilize data-driven analysis to identify optimization opportunities and enhance inventory management strategies.

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain meticulous documentation of all inventory and purchasing transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven track record (10 years) in inventory management, ideally within an art or manufacturing domain.
  • Strong negotiation skills coupled with an innate understanding of procurement principles.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and adeptness with MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication skills and adeptness in multitasking within a dynamic work environment.

  • This role marries inventory management prowess with strategic purchasing finesse. While the emphasis lies on inventory, the ideal candidate should bring a nuanced understanding of procurement practices, subtly weaving them into optimizing the foundry's operations.

Location/Relocation Expectations:  This position is located at our Workshop at 453 Route 17k, Rock Tavern, New York. You will be expected to relocate closer to our Workshop prior to starting. A relocation stipend will be provided for the right candidate.
