Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Requirements/Experience
- Job requires effective oral and written communication skills combined with excellent listening skills.
- Must be able to meet multiple, conflicting deadlines.
- Must be self-motivated, able to set and achieve goals independently with minimum supervision.
- Must have excellent software skills with Xactimate 28.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have completed OSHA 10 course, or complete one within 30 days after program enrollment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate construction deficiencies and determine code compliance improvements.
- Create comprehensive scopes of work using Xactimate 28 and proprietary software.
- Review and approve team job quotes before customer submission.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director of Estimating ensuring customer receives accurate cost estimate of damages and is required on projects over $500,000.
- Complete bid package forms and follow customer scope accurately.
- Inspect job sites with stakeholders to prepare scopes and estimates in Xactimate.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and facilitate communication between adjusters, clients, and sales.
- Provide insurance expertise for settlement negotiations and help Operations with cost estimating.
- Ensure proper documentation throughout the bidding process and assist with invoicing.
- Knowledgeable in the Building and Construction industry, materials, methods, tools, and Multi-Family construction drawings and specifications.
- Familiar with quantity material and labor take-off methods.
- Use critical thinking to identify and solve construction issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Director of Estimating.
- Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and customers.
- Foster a positive attitude and maintain collaborative relationships.
- Travel as assigned.
- Proficient in English.
