StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Acquisition Project Coordinator, Journeyman to join our team in supporting the an International Program Office at PEO-STRI in Orlando, Fl. PEO-STRI is the Army’s principal center for modeling, simulation and training systems technologies.
Essential Job Functions:
The Contractor shall perform all aspects of program acquisition coordination and project management support services in support of the IPO. The responsibilities of the Acquisition Project Coordinator include:
  • Maintaining an understanding of program acquisition strategies managed by the IPO for all customer programs, with emphasis on cost, schedule, and performance and attending program management reviews and meetings to keep abreast of programs and ensure early identification of problem areas.
  • Acting in an advisory capacity to maintain liaison by attending no more than two annual conferences, Trade Shows, and attending quarterly meetings with foreign customers, United States (U.S.) Embassies, other officials and groups, that are centered around FMS activities.
  • Assisting in the coordination, preparation, and review of documentation for submission to the PEO STRI and the Army Security Assistance Enterprise (ASAE) to support and defend positions on specific program matters. Interface with COR and ACOR.
  • Acting in an advisory capacity to coordinate, prepare and review documentation for submission to the PEO STRI and ASAE to support and defend positions on specific program matters.
  • Acting in an advisory capacity to provide detailed and specific information on programs and to provide advice on peculiar contractual and programmatic requirements and processes. The Acquisition Project Coordinator shall act in an advisory capacity and participate in customer strategy meetings, installation support requirements meetings, site construction inspections, site surveys, data collection trips, form/fit tests, New Equipment Training (NET), Operational Verification Demonstrations, and other project related activities associated with assigned programs.
  • Assisting with Enterprise Business System (EBS) and program updates for IPO.
  • Acting in an advisory capacity to provide detailed and specific information on programs and to provide advice on peculiar contractual and programmatic requirements and processes.
  • The Acquisition Project Coordinator shall act in an advisory capacity and participate in customer strategy meetings, installation support requirements meetings, site construction inspections, site surveys, data collection trips, form/fit tests, and NET. (Weekly team meetings, others as needed, not to exceed approximately five per month and travel approximately one per quarter.) The tasking associated with this paragraph will be located at Fort Campbell Kentucky.
  • Functioning in an advisory capacity to provide detailed and specific information and to provide advice on peculiar contractual and programmatic requirements and processes.
  • The Acquisition Project Coordinator shall participate in customer strategy meetings, Weekly team meetings, Program telecoms, PMR’s, and other meetings as needed in support of IPO’s Maintenance Training and Training programs.
  • The Acquisition Project Coordinator shall assist the Program office with updating PWS’s, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP’s), and other program documents that assist with ensuring cost, schedule, and performance of current and future efforts.
Travel Requirements:
  • Less than 10% to Fort Campbell KY
Experience Requirements:
  • Knowledge of acquisition, development, fielding and life cycle support of simulations, simulators, training, and instrumentation systems.
  • Knowledge of current modeling and simulation principles, techniques, processes, regulations, and policies.
  • Knowledge of the DOD Planning, Programming Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) and its relationship to systems acquisition/program management activities.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
Security Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Secret security clearance is required prior to starting work
