Job Title: Region 13 Educator Certification Program Field Supervisor Reports To: Educator Certification Coordinator Salary: $1,525 per assigned intern. The number of interns assigned will be based on certification areas, location and program needs. Intern supports runs August 2024 through May 2025. Job Summary (Primary Purpose): As a contracted Field Supervisor for the Region 13 alternative certification program, your primary purpose is to offer classroom coaching and support to first-year teachers. You'll observe their teaching practices both on their campuses and virtually, monitor performance, and deliver constructive feedback to enhance their effectiveness as educators. Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Education/Certificates):
Bachelor's Degree
Texas Teaching Certificate (Valid)
Three year of teaching experience
Accomplishment as an educator as shown by student learning
Success in instruction, development and mentoring of novice teachers/adult learners
Effective communication and technology skills- written and verbal; including video conferencing
Experience working independently and following directions
Ability to give clear and specific and timely feedback to adult learners
Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Master's Degree

Major Job Responsibilites/Essential Functions:
Serve as the representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tack, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public.
Ensure confidentiality of oral, written and electronic information.
Observe first-year teachers on their campuses and provide feedback to the teacher, campus administration as well as the Education Certification Program through timely detailed reports in an electronic Field App provided by Region 13 ECP
Mentor and coach beginning teachers in the use of effective educational practices, materials, and services related to specific teaching assignments.
Work efficiently and effectively with first year teachers, mentors, campus administration and interns Cohort Specialists
Remain knowledgeable in current curriculum and instruction issues, educational trends and integration of technology in instruction for beginning teachers.
