Position Overview
The Server Assistant at Aleteo Rooftop Restaurant supports the service team by maintaining table readiness, assisting with food and beverage delivery, and ensuring smooth service flow in a high energy rooftop environment. This role is essential to pacing, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction while upholding the elevated standards of the Aleteo dining experience.
Essential Functions
Service Support and Execution
- Assist servers with table maintenance, clearing, and resetting throughout service.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables as directed by service staff.
- Support course pacing and dining room flow.
- Maintain awareness of guest needs and service timing.
Guest Experience
- Provide courteous, attentive support to guests when interacting tableside.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate needs to servers.
- Support a lively, welcoming rooftop atmosphere.
- Maintain professionalism during peak service periods.
Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas.
- Assist with polishing glassware, silverware, and tableware.
- Support opening and closing side work duties.
- Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and runners.
Teamwork and Professionalism
- Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, runners, and leadership.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Demonstrate reliability, urgency, and attention to detail.
- Accept coaching and feedback to support development.
Compliance and Safety
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
- Adhere to company policies and brand standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by restaurant leadership.
Physical & Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and special events.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, energetic environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Food and Alcohol Service Certifications required or ability to obtain.
