The Monarch San Antonio - A Legacy of Service and Sophistication

The Monarch San Antonio, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is a 200-room, 17-story boutique hotel located in the Hemisfair District of downtown San Antonio. It is set to open in early 2026 and is inspired by the Monarch butterfly that migrates through the region each winter. The hotel will feature a full-service spa, a terrace pool, and five food and beverage concepts, including a rooftop restaurant and bar.

Position Overview

The Cocktail Server in the Lobby Bar Lounge is responsible for delivering attentive, stylish, and engaging beverage service in a sophisticated lounge environment. This role focuses on creating a relaxed yet elevated guest experience through timely service, strong product knowledge, and warm hospitality while supporting the overall ambiance of the lobby bar.

Essential Functions

Beverage Service and Guest Experience

• Provide prompt, polished, and friendly beverage service to lounge guests.
• Take accurate drink orders and deliver beverages efficiently.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer offerings.
• Offer thoughtful recommendations to enhance the guest experience.

Guest Engagement and Atmosphere

• Engage guests with warmth and professionalism while respecting the lounge environment.
• Maintain awareness of guest needs and anticipate service opportunities.
• Support a welcoming, social, and refined lounge atmosphere.
• Serve as a visible ambassador of the lobby bar experience.

Service Execution

• Accurately enter orders and manage guest checks.
• Coordinate service with bartenders to ensure timely beverage delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned lounge areas.
• Support table maintenance including glassware clearing and resetting.

Teamwork and Professionalism

• Work collaboratively with bartenders, hosts, and service team members.
• Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor at all times.
• Demonstrate reliability, urgency, and attention to detail.
• Accept coaching and feedback to support continuous improvement.

Compliance and Safety

• Adhere to responsible alcohol service laws and company policies.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Other Duties

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Senior leadership.
• Maintain availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous cocktail server or hospitality service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and guest engagement skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced lounge environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Food and Alcohol Service Certifications required.
