The Monarch San Antonio - A Legacy of Service and Sophistication

The Monarch San Antonio, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is a 200-room, 17-story boutique hotel located in the Hemisfair District of downtown San Antonio. It is set to open in early 2026 and is inspired by the Monarch butterfly that migrates through the region each winter. The hotel will feature a full-service spa, a terrace pool, and five food and beverage concepts, including a rooftop restaurant and bar.

Position Overview

The Server at Aleteo Rooftop Restaurant is responsible for delivering engaging, attentive, and high energy tableside service in a vibrant rooftop environment. This role guides guests through food and beverage selections while creating a memorable dining experience rooted in hospitality, personality, and elevated service standards.

Essential Functions

Tableside Service and Guest Experience

• Provide attentive, professional, and engaging tableside service throughout the dining experience.
• Guide guests through menu selections including food, cocktails, wine, and specialty beverages.
• Anticipate guest needs and personalize service to enhance satisfaction.
• Maintain a confident, upbeat presence aligned with the rooftop atmosphere.

Food and Beverage Service

• Serve menu items accurately and efficiently while maintaining presentation standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Support beverage service in coordination with bartenders.
• Accurately enter orders and manage guest checks.

Service Execution

• Follow all service standards, timing, and table maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate service with food runners and support staff to ensure seamless execution.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned tables and service areas.
• Support course pacing and overall dining room flow.

 Teamwork and Professionalism

• Work collaboratively with bartenders, runners, hosts, and leadership.
• Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor.
• Demonstrate reliability, urgency, and accountability.
• Accept coaching and feedback to support continuous improvement.

Compliance and Safety

• Adhere to responsible alcohol service laws and company policies.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Other Duties

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by restaurant leadership.
• Maintain availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical & Working Conditions

•  Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
•  Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and special events. 

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant service experience preferred, preferably in high volume or rooftop environments.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, energetic environment.
• Professional demeanor and attention to detail.
• Food and Alcohol Service Certifications required.
