The ideal candidate combines strong electrical construction knowledge with financial awareness, organization, leadership, and clear communication.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop project execution plans covering budgets, schedules, manpower, procurement, subcontractors, safety, quality, and communication
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, estimates, and project scopes
  • Lead project kickoff meetings with office and field teams
  • Build, manage, and update detailed project budgets and cost structures
  • Monitor labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment, overhead, and committed project costs
  • Review job-cost reports, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare cost-to-complete projections, WIP schedules, revenue forecasts, cash-flow forecasts, and margin analyses
  • Prepare and manage monthly payment applications and project billing
  • Monitor accounts receivable and assist with the collection of overdue project invoices
  • Protect project gross margins through strong cost control, labor-productivity management, and material oversight
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, procurement schedules, and milestone commitments
  • Monitor critical-path activities and implement recovery plans when project schedules are at risk
  • Coordinate activities with field supervisors, foremen, general contractors, customers, designers, vendors, subcontractors, and inspectors
  • Forecast manpower needs and work with operations leadership to allocate crews effectively
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, procurement, project documentation, and correspondence
  • Identify, document, price, submit, and track change orders
  • Protect the company’s contractual and financial interests by documenting delays, disruptions, and unforeseen conditions
  • Understand and administer contract requirements, including payment terms, notice provisions, liquidated damages, warranties, and dispute procedures
  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project
  • Lead project meetings, provide proactive updates, manage expectations, and resolve concerns promptly
  • Build strong client relationships that support repeat business and referrals
  • Oversee project quality, inspection readiness, code compliance, and workmanship standards
  • Manage punch lists, commissioning, as-built documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, training, final acceptance, and financial closeout
  • Mentor Project Engineers and developing project-management personnel
  • Maintain accurate project information in Knowify and other required company systems

  • Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, sequencing, and code requirements
  • Strong financial knowledge, including job costing, billing, forecasting, WIP reporting, margin management, and change orders
  • Experience reviewing and administering construction contracts
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project-management software
