Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support warehouse and distribution operations. This role is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are handled according to company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
- Accurately process and document received materials in inventory systems
- Prepare, package, label, and ship outgoing products and materials
- Maintain shipping and receiving logs and related documentation
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams regarding shipment schedules and inventory needs
- Ensure all products are stored properly and warehouse areas remain clean and organized
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
- Follow company safety procedures, GMP standards, and regulatory requirements
- Report damaged shipments, discrepancies, or inventory issues promptly
- Assist with other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
- Experience using inventory management or ERP systems is a plus
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and data entry
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
- Frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely
Work Environment
- Warehouse and distribution setting
- Exposure to shipping materials, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
Must be able to pass a background check and clear a drug test
