Job Summary
The Assembler is responsible for building, wiring, and assembling electrical and industrial components according to engineering specifications. This role ensures high-quality production by following schematics, maintaining safety standards, and completing accurate documentation. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires according to specifications
- Assemble and wire control panels, enclosures, and electrical systems
- Install electrical components onto panel boards and other assemblies
- Perform enclosure modifications as required
- Build cable harnesses and complete product kitting and packaging
- Apply labels and ensure proper identification of components and assemblies
- Conduct functional testing and basic troubleshooting of completed units
- Follow UL and industry standards where applicable (e.g., UL508A)
- Complete production, inspection, and quality documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and wire processing equipment
- Basic knowledge of electrical components and wiring practices
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands for detailed assembly work
- Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 40–50 lbs)
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Work Environment
- Manufacturing or production setting
- Exposure to tools, machinery, and electrical components
- May require overtime or flexible scheduling based on production needs
