The Project Manager, is responsible for the successful delivery of medium-to-large electrical construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager leads the project team, manages financial performance at the project level, and serves as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Include:(But not limited to the following)
Project Leadership
Ø Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of assigned Electrical projects.
Ø Supervise Project Engineers, Superintendents, and subcontractor teams to achieve schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Ø Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
Ø Conduct regular project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and accountability.
Financial & P&L Management
Ø Maintain project-level budgets, track costs, and ensure profitability targets are met.
Ø Monitor cash flow, forecast financial performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ø Lead change order management, cost recovery, and margin improvement strategies.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Ø Serve as primary contact for clients, general contractors, architects, and engineers on assigned projects.
Ø Build strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and positive references.
Ø Collaborate with business development and estimating teams on proposals, contracts, and project scope.
Team Development & Leadership
Ø Mentor Project Engineers, Superintendents, and other team members.
Ø Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
Ø Assist in recruiting and onboarding project staff as needed.
Operational Excellence
Ø Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Ø Implement project controls, quality assurance, and reporting standards.
Ø Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
Ø 5–12 years of progressive experience managing Electrical construction projects.
Ø Demonstrated ability to manage medium-to-large project budgets ($5M–$50M ).
Ø Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
Ø Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and building codes.
Ø Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Preferred Experience
- PMP, PE, CCM, or DBIA certifications.
- Experience with union or prevailing wage projects (if applicable).
- Design-build, IPD, or alternative project delivery experience.
- Strong client network within Southern California markets.
