A reputable public accounting firm is actively seeking a Tax Senior for its Melville / Long Island office. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a well-established team and work with a broad client base across tax compliance, planning, and advisory engagements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public accounting tax and be comfortable handling client work with increasing independence while collaborating closely with managers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
• Assist in delivering tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients
• Analyze financial information and supporting documentation to ensure accurate reporting
• Research tax issues and help identify planning opportunities
• Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding tax matters, deadlines, and deliverables
• Support year-round tax planning and special projects
• Help develop and mentor junior tax staff
• Maintain high standards of quality, organization, and client service

Qualifications

• 3 years of public accounting tax experience
• Experience with federal and multi-state tax compliance
• Background working with closely held businesses, pass-through entities, and individual returns preferred
• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline required
• Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
