What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tax Accountant position at Distinct | North America?

You know, the ones that want to keep improving the work life balance of their people.
If they can see some have been stretched during tax season, they’re thinking about hiring now. Not when it gets close to 9.15 or 10.15. Or even the Spring 2026 season.
And when I say stretched, I’m not talking people working 85-90 hours like you will be doing in the bigger firms. This is a firm that want to keep people at max 55 hours in the Spring season. 9.15 and 10.15 is more like 50 hours (for a max of two weeks).
This particular Firm are based out of Woodbury, Long Island. 30 staff. 6 Partners. Good ratio. You’ll get excellent exposure and learning.
You won’t be stuck in a niche either. Manufacturing, Retail, Construction, Real Estate and some non profits too. Broad range of returns – 1040s, 1120s, 1065s and 1120. They use ProSystems FX
Ideally you’ll have 3-5 years CPA firm experience.
