A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its team in East Brunswick, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working directly on client engagements, mentoring staff, and contributing to a collaborative audit practice.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting audit/assurance, solid technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements while maintaining a high level of client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform audit, review, and compilation engagements for a diverse client base
- Prepare and review workpapers, financial statements, and related audit documentation
- Assist with engagement planning, risk assessment, and fieldwork execution
- Work closely with managers and partners to ensure timely completion of engagements
- Communicate directly with clients to request information, address questions, and support engagement progress
- Identify accounting, reporting, and internal control issues and escalate as appropriate
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior staff and associates
- Assist with special projects and other assurance-related matters as needed
Qualifications
- 3 years of public accounting audit or assurance experience
- Strong experience with audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client engagements in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality client service
