Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Syndicated Loans Specialist with strong experience utilizing Loan IQ to support the onboarding, servicing, and maintenance of complex syndicated credit facilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of syndicated lending products and documentation, with the ability to accurately interpret credit agreements and execute loan lifecycle events.
Responsibilities:
Loan IQ Operations:
Onboard new credit facilities within Loan IQ, ensuring accuracy in deal setup and compliance with governing documentation.
Process loan bookings, rate settings, fee setups, restructures, and other lifecycle events.
Execute funding events including draws, rollovers, repayments, and interest/funding calculations.
Maintain deal structures, borrower profiles, and facility configurations in accordance with credit agreement terms.
Documentation Review & Interpretation:
Review and interpret syndicated loan documentation such as credit agreements, term sheets, amendments, waiver requests, and fee letters.
Translate legal terms into actionable operational requirements for system setup and ongoing servicing.
Ensure loan structures, pricing, and covenants align with documented terms.
Syndicated Product Expertise:
Work with a wide range of syndicated lending products including:
Revolving credit facilities
Term loans
Delayed draw term loans
Swinglines
Letters of credit
Multi‑currency and cross‑border structures
Support complex funding structures, interest calculations, and multi‑lender allocations.
Operational Excellence:
Collaborate with internal partners (Agency, Credit, Operations, Treasury) to ensure timely and accurate processing of all loan events.
Resolve system or data discrepancies and ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Provide subject matter expertise on Loan IQ functionality and loan documentation requirements.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Demonstrated hands-on experience working within Loan IQ, specifically for onboarding credit facilities, booking loans, configuring deal structures, and executing funding events.
Strong working knowledge of syndicated loan documentation, with proven ability to interpret complex legal documents.
Solid understanding of syndicated lending products and multi‑currency loan structures.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Understanding of new loan products and currencies– SOFR, SONA, IBOR.
Experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
