Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the ongoing development and enhancement of a Portfolio Management (PM) platform within Commercial Banking. This role is focused on requirements gathering, user story development, data mapping, and agile delivery execution, working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, technology teams, and data/AI partners.
The PM platform includes both traditional workflow and AI enabled components, so the ideal candidate will have strong core BA skills along with a working understanding of AI concepts to effectively collaborate with AI and engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Elicitation & Analysis
• Lead requirements gathering activities with business users, product owners, and subject matter experts, including interviews and working sessions
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements
• Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements that support scalable platform design
• Ensure requirements align with Commercial Banking credit and portfolio management processes
Agile / Scrum Delivery
• Translate requirements into well-defined user stories, features, and acceptance criteria
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain and refine the backlog
• Actively participate in scrum ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements, answer questions, and support sprint execution
• Support UAT planning, execution, defect triage, and validation
Data Mapping & Integration
• Perform data mapping (source to target) across systems supporting the PM platform
• Document data definitions, transformations, and business rules
• Partner with data, engineering, and upstream/downstream system teams to validate data flows and data quality
• Support requirements related to integrations, APIs, and reporting where applicable
AI / Advanced Capabilities Collaboration
• Partner with AI, analytics, and engineering teams to define requirements for AI enabled features (e.g., agent assisted workflows, recommendations, insights)
• Translate business needs into requirements consumable by AI and data science teams
• Understand high level AI concepts (e.g., AI agents, model inputs/outputs, human in the loop workflows) to support effective requirement definition and validation
• Help ensure AI features are usable, explainable, and aligned to business workflows
Stakeholder Communication & Documentation
• Serve as a key liaison between business, product, and technology teams
• Document decisions, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and open questions
• Maintain clear, organized documentation for requirements, data mappings, and delivery artifacts
Qualifications:

Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
Proven ability to write high‑quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
Hands‑on experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Experience with data mapping, data analysis, and integration requirements.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile delivery tools.
Experience in Commercial Banking, credit, or portfolio management. (preferred)
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or work with data science teams. (preferred)
Experience with APIs, workflow platforms, or enterprise data systems. (preferred)
Ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences. (preferred)
