Structural Designer (Contract)

Location: Bedminster, NJ (5 days on-site)

Contract Length: 6-12 months (with potential for permanent conversion)

About the Role

We are seeking a Structural Designer to support complex industrial and structural engineering projects within highly specialized environments, including petrochemical and cryogenic facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale industrial structures and contribute to technically challenging design work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify detailed 2D structural drawings and layouts from 3D BIM models.
• Produce design and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD, CADWorx, and BricsCAD.
• Create drawings for industrial structures such as towers, pipe racks, skids, and platforms.
• Deliver structural concrete, steel, installation, and connection drawings.
• Interpret and implement engineering mark-ups accurately.
• Manage drawing revisions and ensure timely updates.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, procedures, and approval processes.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to maintain design accuracy and consistency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in the petrochemical, chemical, or industrial sector (min. 2 years).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and CADWorx (BricsCAD experience is a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel and civil engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with structural concrete and steel detailing standards.
• Working knowledge of civil/structural industrial project environments.
• Experience managing revisions and maintaining drawing accuracy.
