Project Manager – Packaging Manufacturing (Pharmaceutical)
Location: Chicago, IL
Contract: 18 Weeks
Pay Rate: $60–$70 per hour (W2 or equivalent)

Overview:
A leading pharmaceutical organization in Chicago is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support improvements on a packaging manufacturing line. The primary focus of this role is to enhance center-lining practices within the batch system, driving consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing experience, an understanding of packaging operations, and a proven ability to deliver process improvements in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the evaluation and improvement of center-lining processes across the packaging batch system.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to assess current workflows and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Develop and implement change initiatives to standardize center-lining practices across the line.
- Create documentation, SOP updates, and process guides to support improved system performance.
- Conduct training sessions with line operators and supervisors to ensure proper adoption of changes.
- Monitor and audit the updated batch system to verify compliance, performance, and sustainability of improvements.
- Track project progress, manage timelines, and deliver clear reporting to leadership.
- Ensure all work aligns with pharmaceutical regulatory, quality, and safety requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in project management within pharmaceutical, biotech, or highly regulated manufacturing industries.
- Hands-on exposure to packaging manufacturing lines or automated batch systems.
- Strong understanding of center-lining, process optimization, Lean/Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence change in operational environments.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
