About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Building Automation Specialist to join a high-performing facilities and engineering team supporting a large, complex site in Chicago. This Building Automation Specialist role offers the opportunity to work on advanced BAS platforms, optimise building performance, and play a key role in maintaining critical environments.
What You’ll Do
• Program, modify, and optimise building automation systems for HVAC and related equipment
• Troubleshoot BAS issues and ensure systems operate at peak performance
• Support commissioning, retro-commissioning, and system upgrades
• Implement energy optimisation and efficiency improvements
• Maintain system backups, databases, and documentation
• Collaborate with engineering teams and onsite stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance on complex controls and integration challenges
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience as a Building Automation Specialist or in BAS/controls environments
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Desigo and Siemens Insight
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and control strategies
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and IP-based networks
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, onsite environment
