Electrical Design / Controls Designer (W2 Contract)

$60–$70/hour (W2)

We are seeking an Electrical Design / Controls Designer to support project execution for industrial facilities. This role is heavily electrical-focused (approximately 80%), with supporting exposure to instrumentation and controls (approximately 20%). Candidates with instrument tubing experience will be highly prioritized.

This is an onsite position in Bedminster, NJ, working closely with engineering and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design drawings using AutoCAD
• Create and revise:
• Cable tray layouts
• Cable and conduit schedules
• Low-voltage wiring diagrams for instrumentation and controls
• Support instrumentation and controls design, including field routing and connectivity
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability
• Review and incorporate redlines, field markups, and as-built documentation
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements

Required Qualifications

• Strong background in electrical design for industrial facilities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Hands-on experience with:
• Cable tray design
• Cable and conduit schedules
• Low-voltage wiring for instrumentation
• Solid understanding of electrical construction practices and documentation
• Ability to work onsite full-time (5 days/week) in Bedminster, NJ

Highly Desired / Nice to Have

• Instrument tubing design experience (major plus / strong differentiator)
• Experience in chemical, LNG, or similar process industries
• Exposure to controls systems and instrumentation layouts
