What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Recruiter position at TurnPoint Search Group?
About TurnPoint Search Group
TurnPoint Search Group is a boutique recruiting firm specializing in high-impact corporate roles across finance, tech, and professional services. We partner closely with our clients, operate with urgency and care, and believe recruiting should feel personal, thoughtful, and transparent for candidates and clients alike.
We’re growing and looking for an Associate Recruiter who’s excited to learn the business, build real relationships, and play a meaningful role on a small, collaborative team.
The Role
As an Associate Recruiter, you’ll support end-to-end searches while learning the fundamentals of contingent recruiting. This is a hands-on role with exposure to candidates and the full lifecycle of a search. You’ll work closely with the firm’s founder and senior recruiters, gaining mentorship and responsibility as you grow.
Responsibilities
- Source and identify high-quality candidates through LinkedIn, referrals, and targeted outreach
- Conduct initial candidate screens and manage candidate pipelines
- Apply sound judgment and critical thinking when evaluating candidates, prioritizing searches, and managing competing deadlines
- Communicate thoughtfully and professionally with candidates and clients, representing TurnPoint with maturity and discretion
- Coordinate interviews, scheduling, and candidate follow-ups
- Build and maintain thoughtful, long-term candidate relationships
- Support individual search strategies and conduct market and talent research
- Maintain accurate, organized records in the ATS
- Assist with job intake calls and client updates
- Support additional search and client needs as they arise
Requirements
- Experience in recruiting, sales, or a client-facing professional role
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn — you ask good questions and follow through
- Exceptionally strong communicator (written and verbal) with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Professional, personable, and trustworthy — people enjoy working with you
- Strong critical thinking skills — you can assess information, ask thoughtful questions, and adapt as new context emerges
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and using judgment rather than relying solely on rigid processes
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small team
- Interest in building a long-term career in recruiting or talent advisory
What We Offer
- Exposure to senior-level searches and high-profile clients
- Direct mentorship and career development in a growing boutique firm
- Competitive, performance-based commission structure
- Hybrid work environment with flexibility and autonomy
- A collaborative, no-ego team that values quality, judgment, and relationships
If you’re looking for a place to learn, contribute, and build something meaningful, we’d love to meet you.
Compensation will be based on commissions.
