JOB TITLE: Director, Systems and Programming
LOCATION: Hybrid or on-site within Florida (remote may be allowed; on-site presence may be required with advance notice; flexibility required)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
COMPENSATION: $120,000–$155,000 base salary
WORK AUTHORIZATION: U.S. citizenship required; ability to pass a background check

POSITION OVERVIEW
Lead systems and programming initiatives at the enterprise level. Oversee IT operations, system architecture, and development while managing and mentoring a cross-functional technical team. This role requires flexibility to balance strategic leadership with hands-on responsibilities, adapting to changing client and project needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor, and manage systems engineers, developers, and analysts
- Oversee enterprise system architecture, programming, and IT operations
- Establish governance standards for technology use, security, and compliance
- Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and technology contracts
- Monitor system performance; resolve issues and ensure reliability
- Develop budgets and forecast future technology needs
- Advise executive leadership on IT strategy and digital transformation
- Remain flexible to shifting priorities and client requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10 years of IT, systems, or software development experience, with 5 years in leadership
- Strong knowledge of enterprise systems, cloud technologies, databases, and programming frameworks
- Proven success managing cross-functional technical teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies, environments, and client expectations
NICE TO HAVE
- Public-sector or regulated industry experience
- Background in system migrations, cloud transformations, or enterprise software delivery
- Familiarity with compliance standards (privacy, accessibility, security frameworks)
