General Job Description
At The Standard, marketing is all about shaping culture. The Director of Marketing & Programming leads the property’s storytelling across all platforms and touchpoints. This role oversees marketing, partnerships, cultural programming, creative direction & design, communications, digital presence, local campaigns, and serves as the key liaison for PR and photo shoots.
In close collaboration with the Director of Spa and Food & Beverage and our corporate marketing team, the Director ensures seamless planning, coordination, and execution of events and activations that embody The Standard’s bold, playful, and timeless brand.

Proven marketing expertise with both strategic vision and creative flair
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
Exceptional copywriting and communication (verbal & written)
Strength in analytics, reporting, and ROI-driven strategy
Ability to lead creative direction with passion and pride
Proficiency in PPC, SEO, paid search & social campaigns
Graphic & web design skills (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
MS Office proficiency
Weekend and evening availability for major events and programming
Key Responsibilities
Support Sales, F&B, Spa, Membership, Retail, and Catering & Events through marketing and programming designed to enhance the guest experience and achieve budget goals.
Serve as the communication hub between all departments on marketing initiatives and event activations.
Manage promotions, cultural programming, hotel updates, and guest/member communications.
Develop strategic marketing plans and oversee the annual Sales & Marketing budget.
Create innovative campaigns based on insights, analytics, culture, and current trends to drive revenue.
Curate culturally relevant, on-brand events, pop-ups, and partnerships, especially during peak seasons like Art Basel, Miami Music Week, Swim Week, and key holidays.
Oversee and execute digital and social strategy, including database growth, ad campaigns, engagement goals, and guest review responses.
Manage creative direction, collateral, campaigns, and communication plans for promotional efforts.
Partner with PR teams to generate press coverage, value, and buzz.
Lead digital advertising efforts, including PPC and paid social campaigns.
Book and manage talent, artists, and creative partners for on-site activations.
Oversee guest list management, event production, and special projects.
Secure photo shoots as an additional revenue stream and conversion tool for group sales & catering leads.
Assist HR with internal culture collateral, dress code, and orientation branding.
Work hand-in-hand with the GM and PR team on any crisis communications.
Maintain meticulous records for budgets, invoices, and event costs.
