Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Infrastructure

I am supporting a well-established and growing engineering consultancy looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their water/wastewater team.
This role is focused on project ownership and delivery. It’s not a design role they’re looking for someone who can take full responsibility for projects, manage clients, and ensure successful execution from start to finish.
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on utilities and conveyance systems. The position involves working closely with internal engineering teams while acting as the primary interface with clients.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Leading the delivery of projects across pipelines, conveyance systems, pump stations, lift stations, and transmission networks
- Owning project performance, including schedules, budgets, and overall execution
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, particularly within the municipal sector
- Coordinating internal teams and ensuring alignment across design, permitting, and construction phases
- Identifying risks early and driving solutions to keep projects on track
They’re looking for a Project Manager with a strong background in water/wastewater infrastructure, who understands how utility-focused projects are delivered and can confidently lead them.
The right candidate will bring:
- A PE license is a must!
- 4 years of experience managing water/wastewater projects
- Proven experience delivering utilities-focused projects, including pipelines, conveyance systems, and pump or lift stations
- A track record of managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships
- Experience working with municipal clients or public-sector infrastructure projects
This role is for someone who is comfortable being fully accountable for project delivery. You’ll be expected to manage multiple projects at once, keep teams aligned, and ensure clients are kept informed and confident throughout.
