What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Plant Manager position at The Sterling Choice?
Associate Plant Manager
Food Manufacturing
Location: Washington DC/Baltimore Area
You’re good at what you do.
You’ve built credibility. You deliver results. You’re trusted to run your area.
Now you’re ready for more.
A growing food manufacturer is investing heavily into a key site. New equipment, automation, and a clear plan to scale over the next few years.
They don’t need a finished Plant Manager. They need someone ready to take that step.
This role gives you ownership across production, maintenance, H&S and warehousing. It’s a chance to broaden your scope, step into full site operations, and build towards Plant Manager level, with a VP of Operations on site to support and develop you along the way.
You’ll need to be hands-on. Someone who understands how manufacturing really works, from production through to maintenance, and is comfortable being on the floor as much as leading from the front. You’ve led people, delivered improvements, and know how to solve problems without waiting to be told what to do.
A background in food or beverage manufacturing would put you in a strong position, alongside a degree and a mindset geared towards learning, improving, and taking ownership.
If you’re looking for the role that accelerates your path into Plant Manager, this is worth a conversation.
