Estimator – Water / Pressure Pipeline Projects

📍 Sunrise / Fort Lauderdale, FL (Office-Based)

💰 $85,000 – $100,000 Bonus Benefits

We’re working with a growing contractor in the water infrastructure sector, looking to add an Estimator to their team in the Fort Lauderdale area.

This role focuses on pressure pipeline and water system projects, supporting a busy operation delivering work across municipal and infrastructure clients.

The Role

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for water infrastructure projects, including pressure mains, force mains, hydrants and pipeline systems
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to build accurate bids
• Perform quantity take-offs and validate project data
• Compile and analyse costs for labor, materials and equipment
• Work closely with operations teams, suppliers and subcontractors
• Support bid reviews and project handover to delivery teams
• Manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

What They’re Looking For

• Experience in civil construction, utilities, or water infrastructure
• Understanding of pressure systems (water mains, force mains, hydrants, testing methods)
• Experience with estimating, take-offs, or cost analysis
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, “figure it out” mindset — comfortable working in a less structured environment
• Must be based locally or able to commute to Sunrise / Fort Lauderdale

Ideal Backgrounds

• Estimators within civil / utilities / pipeline construction
• Inside sales or pipe supply professionals (e.g. waterworks) with take-off experience looking to move contractor-side
• Project Engineers or PMs with exposure to estimating and cost work

Preferred (Not Essential)

• Experience with estimating tools such as HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam or similar
• Background in water, wastewater or pipeline infrastructure projects
