Buying Manager / Supply Chain Manager

High-volume food production operation. Fast-moving environment. Lots of moving parts.
We’re looking for a leader who can take ownership of purchasing, inventory, receiving, and supplier coordination inside a live 24/7 operation where pace and responsiveness matter.
This isn’t a corporate strategic supply chain role.
This is about making sure product arrives correctly, inventory is accurate, suppliers are managed properly, and production teams have what they need to operate.
You’ll be supporting chilled, frozen, and dry goods categories across a busy food production environment supplying time-sensitive customers daily.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing purchasing and replenishment activity
- Overseeing inventory accuracy and stock control
- Supporting receiving and inbound goods operations
- Managing supplier communication, shortages, substitutions, and delivery issues
- Working closely with operations and production teams daily
- Monitoring waste, stock discrepancies, and inventory issues
- Supporting process improvements across supply chain and inventory practices
- Leading a small receiving/procurement support team
- Helping create structure, accountability, and consistency across the function - building the system!

Things move quickly. Priorities change. Deliveries run late. Production still needs to run.
The successful person will be someone comfortable operating in environments where urgency, communication, and attention to detail are important.
