The Staff Pad is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a respected Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the Ontario community. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative clinical environment focused on delivering high-quality primary care to a diverse patient population.Position SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner is an integral member of the clinical care team, providing comprehensive primary care services to patients and families in a patient-centered environment. The role involves performing health assessments, diagnosing and treating conditions, prescribing medications, and coordinating care with specialists when appropriate. Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive, high-quality, and cost-effective primary care services to a diverse patient population.Perform health assessments and physical examinations for adults and children.Develop treatment plans and collaborate with patients and families to establish self-management goals.Prescribe medications and order necessary diagnostic or screening tests.Coordinate and refer patients for specialty care when needed.Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and protect patient health information.Submit appropriate billing codes reflecting diagnosis and nature of the visit.Participate in safety programs and emergency response initiatives when assigned.Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and development of clinical policies and procedures.Complete all required trainings and organizational requirements.
