The Staff Pad is partnering with a premier fine art logistics company to hire a Driver / Mover Foreman in Chicago. This is a leadership role for an experienced professional who can confidently lead crews, manage installations, and ensure the safe handling and transport of high-value artwork, antiques, and furniture.

What You’ll Do
- Lead crews on-site for collections, deliveries, and installations
- Safely transport, pack, and install fine art, antiques, and furniture
- Coordinate and oversee installation projects from start to finish
- Train and mentor junior drivers and art handlers
- Prepare and maintain:
- Condition reports
- Inventory documentation
- Trip manifests and job paperwork
- Condition reports
- Ensure all items are handled with the highest level of care and precision
- Verify daily job requirements and ensure trucks are properly loaded and ready
- Communicate with dispatch and operations regarding any job updates or changes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Leadership Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage crews (typically 8 team members)
- Ensure team members follow company standards, safety protocols, and dress code
- Monitor productivity and time management on job sites
- Train new hires and support ongoing team development
- Conduct daily truck and equipment checks
- Report performance issues or concerns to management
- Ensure accurate completion of time sheets and job documentation
- Lead by example with professionalism, accountability, and initiative
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of experience in:
- Art handling, logistics, or moving industry
- Packing, transportation, and installation of high-value items
- Art handling, logistics, or moving industry
- 3–5 years of experience leading or supervising crews
- Strong understanding of inventory processes and condition reporting
- Valid driver’s license and experience driving box trucks
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Preferred:
- Familiarity with OSHA and safety regulations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to push/pull up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
- Comfortable with physical activity including bending, lifting, climbing, and reaching
- Experience using equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
