The Staff Pad is partnering with a respected organization to hire an experienced Art Handler II (Driver). This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in hands-on work, has a strong attention to detail, and understands the importance of safely handling high-value artwork and artifacts.
You’ll play a key role in transporting, installing, and preserving artwork—helping ensure every piece is handled with precision and care.
What You’ll Do
- Safely pack, transport, and unpack artwork and artifacts
- Complete local and regional deliveries (including driving responsibilities)
- Assist with installation and deinstallation of exhibitions
- Prepare and maintain accurate condition reports and inventory records
- Collaborate with curators and team members to ensure proper display and handling
- Conduct routine checks of storage and display areas to maintain optimal conditions
- Follow best practices for art handling, storage, and transportation
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in:
- Art handling, museum, or gallery environments
- OR relevant experience in moving/handling high-value or fragile items
- Art handling, museum, or gallery environments
- Experience with safe packing, handling, and transportation techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art History, or a related field
- Knowledge of art conservation techniques and materials
- Experience working with a variety of art forms and mediums
